FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer custom or commissioned pieces? Yes. I offer a limited number of custom commissions based on availability. All commission requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
What do custom commissions start at? Custom pendants using customer-supplied stones start at $50. Custom pendants using stones supplied by Earth’s Wylde Wanderer start at $65 and require a $25 non-refundable deposit. Final pricing may vary depending on design complexity, materials, and time required.
When is payment due for commissions? A deposit is required to begin work on commissions using stones supplied by Earth’s Wylde Wanderer. Full payment is required before the final piece is shipped.
Who covers shipping for custom commissions? Customers are responsible for shipping any supplied materials to Earth’s Wylde Wanderer. Shipping of the finished piece back to the customer is included at no additional cost. If unused material is requested to be returned, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Do you accept trades or bartering? Yes. Trades and bartering are considered on a select, case-by-case basis and are evaluated based on material quality, skill exchange, and overall alignment with Earth’s Wylde Wanderer. Submission of a trade inquiry does not guarantee acceptance.
Do you offer lapidary or cutting services only? Yes. Limited lapidary services, including cutting and shaping stones, are offered depending on material type and availability. Pricing, timelines, and feasibility vary by project and must be discussed prior to acceptance.
Can you guarantee an exact design for custom work? No. Custom work is guided by collaboration and artistic discretion. Natural stone varies, and each piece is created intuitively, which means final results may differ from initial concepts or reference images.
How long do commissions take? Turnaround times vary depending on current workload and project complexity. Estimated timelines may be discussed, but exact completion dates are not guaranteed.
Are all stones ethically sourced? Ethical sourcing and transparency are prioritized. Stones may be personally rockhounded or sourced from trusted suppliers. Variations in color, texture, inclusions, and natural markings are normal and expected.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? Due to the handmade and often one-of-a-kind nature of the work, all sales are final unless otherwise stated in the product listing.
How can I contact you? The best way to get in touch is through the contact form on this website. Messages are reviewed in the order received, and please allow one to two business days for a response.
